IT Project Manager is responsible in managing key IT infrastructure related projects within Ingredion. The Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple IT projects from initiation through closure that range in size from small to large, low complexity to high and geographical scope from local to global. Primary responsibilities include the development of project charters that clearly define project mission, objectives, business benefits, critical success factors, scope, approach, resource requirements, budgets, schedules, milestones, risks and assumptions. Other responsibilities include project leadership, project planning, project communications, organizational change management, risk mitigation, scope management, issue management, budget management, internal/external resource management and quality assurance.
As a IT Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
Planning and executing global IT projects from initiation through closure adhering to standard project management methodologies/processes/best practices, strict change control procedures and strict audit requirements.
Preparing project charters that clearly define project mission, business objectives, critical success factors, scope, approach, resource requirements, budget, key achievements and schedule.
Ensuring that assigned projects are executed on time, within budget, meet business objectives and remain aligned to approved enterprise architecture standards.
Participating in the essential planning, management and execution of the global project portfolio in alignment with the strategic business plan.
Leading complex business or project related issues, risks and scope to ensure that projects are completed on schedule and within budget while meeting well-defined business objectives.
Providing creative thought leadership on the effective design and use of project portfolio and project management tools and processes.
Providing creative solutions and new ideas that drive increased business value and continuous process improvement.
Focus on the use of agile project management techniques where applicable to drive more rapid and faster project deliveries.
Support key planning and implementation of new and innovative IT strategies/initiatives.
Lead steering committees consisting of senior level business and IT leaders ensuring clear and effective communication of project status and timely issue escalations.
Maintain close working relationships with multi-functional teams and vested internal and external partners.
Run project teams ensuring partnership, defining project roles/responsibilities, sourcing project resources through internal negotiations, assigning project tasks, assessing project team performance, obtaining/managing external vendor resources and addressing ongoing resource allocation issues.
Maintain close working relationship with internal and external clients, IT peers and vendors as required to meet business goals.
Mentor and train others within IT or the business on project management techniques and standard methodologies.
Qualified candidates will have:
A minimum of 8 years’ experience working in IT Project management with an emphasis on IT Infrastructure projects
A proficient knowledge of IT Infrastructure standard practices, such as EUC, Network Management, Data Center Management, VOIP/Video Conferencing, Skype etc.
Bachelor’s in computer and Information Science, or equivalent experience.
Working knowledge of Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies such as PMP, Prince2, and SCRUM etc.
PMP certification preferred. Willingness to obtain a PMP is a requirement.
Experienced proficiency in MS Projects, MS Visio, SharePoint & MS Office suite required.
Experience measuring project success with respect to business objectives, cost, schedule and quality.
Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, and social skills, as well as strong facilitation and presentation skills, with demonstrable ability to lead in a global team environment
Solid experience facilitating change and collaborating with senior-level partners.
Demonstrable skills influencing internal and external clients at all levels.
Demonstrable experience as a project lead on large-scale multi-functional projects with a successful project delivery record.
Strong business and technology acumen with shown knowledge of enterprise architectures.
Willingness to travel, including internationally, estimate 10%—20%
